A 6.5-kilogram boiler generates steam which is fed into a pipeline system of 6 kilograms capacity; the exit steam flow rate is 35 m/s. If the pressure loss in the pipeline reaches 0.9 kilogram, will the boiler’s pressure not be able to remain at 6.5 kilograms and instead rise to over 6.7 kilograms?
The grid-connected pressure is slightly lower than the main pipe pressure, and then it gradually balances out, with the pressure rising to 6.7–6.9 MPa
It can’t possibly be 6.7 in any case. Also, if the pressure exceeds 5% of the rated value, the safety valve should activate
In a boiler with a rated pressure of 6.5 kilograms, could the pressure rise to 6.7 kilograms during operation? Has the safety valve stopped working?
