Are there any good methods for drawing the impeller of a shielded pump?

As the title suggests, I wanted to ask this question a few years ago; recently, after reviewing some information on canned motor pumps, I thought of it again. As we all know, the outer surfaces of both the rotor and stator of a shielded pump are covered with a shielding sleeve. What good methods are there to minimize damage to this shielding sleeve when removing the rotor? There are always scratches during disassembly and assembly, especially when the graphite bearings break or when impurities get into the gaps. Maybe I’m overthinking it, haha.
