Do the experts here know whether the dial of various flow meters will still move if they are installed in the wrong direction?
It depends on the principle of the flow meter
Can’t a Pitot tube be installed in reverse, right? Can’t the electromagnet be installed in reverse, right? Can’t the vortex street be installed in reverse, right? The nozzle can’t be installed in reverse, right? Can’t a positive-displacement type be installed in reverse, right? It depends on the working principle of the flow meter; however, the vast majority of flow meters cannot be installed in reverse. In some cases, installing them in reverse results in negative values, such as in water meters where an impeller drives gears to rotate, and in rotary vane flow meters.
It cannot be installed in reverse, as the setting of your flow meter’s range is directional. Some characters might disappear, but what meaning do those missing characters have? The electromagnetic device may emit signals; the specific type of signal depends on the original settings in the table. Velocity-type flowmeters may show inaccurate readings, as may vortex flowmeters; volume-type flowmeters generally do not show inaccurate readings, as they may not be able to rotate. Orifice plates generally have a signal output, and so do ultrasonic devices. But the character was misspelled; what meaning does this character have?
