A reflux condenser is connected to the reaction vessel; water must not be present in the reaction. So what should be done if the condenser leaks? What measures can be taken to prevent water from entering the reaction vessel?
Heat exchangers that meet the standards are designed based on actual operating conditions; nothing is foolproof. If we go by what you say, what if the reaction vessel leaks?
What will be the consequences if it is missed? Also, when pressure is high on that side, different solutions are required depending on the situation.
The question is whether the material is compatible with water? If they are incompatible, a buffer separation tank can be used.

If it leaks and enters the reactor, an explosion will occur; there is high-temperature phosphorus oxychloride inside. The reaction takes place at atmospheric pressure, and it’s probably the high pressure of the circulating water that’s to blame
1. Use air cooling/forced air cooling as a substitute for water cooling; 2. Use a cooling medium compatible with the reaction medium, such as oils (if possible).
Use another cooling medium; this one is too dangerous.
