There is no category for registered engineers; instead, there are registered fire engineers, registered safety engineers, registered nuclear safety engineers, and registered accountants – but no category for those in the field of surveying and design.
Professional qualifications and practicing qualifications are fundamentally different.

It’s only now that efforts to address this issue of unauthorized use have begun; this is just the first step. Design institutes and engineering companies need to transform and upgrade themselves. It’s no longer sustainable for individuals to create engineering drawings and have them stamped with a signature somewhere – such practices cannot continue. Design institutes and engineering companies should be like lawyers in law firms – they need to obtain a professional qualification certificate before they can work in this field, thereby establishing a threshold for entry. Some industries don’t need to have such barriers; these days, things are often done the opposite way, haha.
