Are the values read on a conductivity meter at different ranges the conductivity itself? Do I need to convert it: »? For example, if the reading at 200 us/l is 28.6 us/l, what should the reading be at the 20 us/l range?
Regardless of the measurement range, the conductivity value of the current sample is always displayed on the screen, with the unit following the value; it’s sufficient to read both the value and the unit clearly. Besides, the unit for conductivity should be us/cm, not us/L.

A conductivity analyzer measures conductivity, which is the conductivity of a medium calculated based on the conductivity value of the solution, the constants of the conductivity cell or electrodes, and temperature. When measurements are taken within different ranges, there may be slight variations in the data due to differences in precision and range of applicability, but the overall values should be consistent. You measured 28.6 uS/cm at the 200 uS/cm range, but when switching to the 20 uS/cm range, the value exceeds the range, and the smart meter will report an error. Is there no other range available between 20 and 200 uS/cm? Like 100, 50, and so on. Also, as mentioned above, the unit you used for conductivity is incorrect; there is no such unit for conductivity.

When the measured value exceeds the set range, the value itself is generally no longer displayed; instead, an alarm or warning indicating that the value is outside the measurable range is shown. Have you really seen the actual display of conductivity analyzers with multiple measurement ranges?
I use a Mettler FE-30 conductivity meter with automatic range switching; the maximum value is 200 mS/cm. I’m not sure what type of solution you’re trying to measure, as its conductivity might exceed this limit; Cheng. ERR-2 is displayed when it exceeds the range.
