Wet manure wastewater: This refers to a manure management process in which a certain amount of water is added to the manure channels within livestock and poultry houses, allowing manure, urine, water used for cleaning, and water used for feeding and management to all be discharged into these channels beneath the slatted floors. The mixture is stored there for a certain period of time (usually 1–2 months); once the channels are filled, the outlet valves are opened, and the manure-water mixture flows through the channels into the main manure channels before being discharged. As a result, the foam-containing manure wastewater will contain a large amount of manure residue. Moreover, the amount of waste discharged at one time is large; if the collection tank is designed to have a long retention time – for example, 5 days as per the design specifications – sediment will inevitably accumulate in the tank. We tried using mechanical stirring and aeration to deal with this issue in the collection tank, but those methods were ineffective. Over time, it becomes necessary to remove the sediment from the tank. If a pump is simply placed in the collection tank to draw water out, it can only ensure that no silt accumulates in that area. But the collection tank cannot be made too small, as it won’t be able to handle the drainage volume. Solve!
1. A sedimentation tank can be installed at the inlet of the collection pool; the sediment is regularly removed using a vacuum truck and sent to the reaction tank; 2. The collection tank is equipped with aeration and stirring; the aeration holes are angled 45° downward ; 3. A crusher can be installed at the inlet of the collection tank to crush the slag before it enters the tank.
The collection tank can also be modified into a funnel shape to facilitate sludge removal
