Safety valves are to be installed on the newly built spherical tanks. The set pressure for the butane spherical tank’s safety valve is 0.7 MPa, while that for the propane spherical tank is 1.7 MPa. I believe this value is too low, as the set pressures for similar tanks that I have worked with in the past were 0.79/17.7 respectively. I need an expert to help answer this.
It is too low; the setting pressure of the safety valve should be greater than or equal to the design pressure. The design pressure for the propane storage tank should be 1.77 MPa.

Typically, the operating pressure for butane is not usually higher than 0.4, and that for propane is not higher than 1.2; therefore, the impact of this fixed pressure value is not significant.
