Acidic water storage tanks are atmospheric pressure tanks; what safety measures are required, and which standards should be followed in the process design?

The purpose of filling with nitrogen is, on one hand, to prevent the equipment from being damaged due to negative pressure; however, the main goal is to prevent air from being drawn in due to negative pressure in the storage tank. On one hand, this prevents the formation of explosive gases as a result of air absorption, and on the other hand, it avoids spontaneous ignition of ferrous sulfide that may have formed on the inner walls of the tank. 2. To prevent the water tank from being damaged under abnormal conditions, there is also a positive and negative pressure water seal tank on top of the tank; this allows air to be drawn in through the negative pressure port in short periods of time to prevent damage to the water tank. 3. For tanks containing sulfur-containing wastewater, there are no relevant regulatory provisions; it is merely the requirement set by the affected companies or the industry following an accident that occurred a few years ago.
