Do organic acids and organic amines react?

I have a question: does terephthalic acid react chemically with benzylamine? What are the conditions required for a chemical reaction to occur?

However, such organic chemical reactions require specific reaction conditions; the reaction of certain substances cannot occur simply by mixing them together. Regarding these two substances you mentioned, you can first mix them simply to see if they will react directly. Since benzylamine is a liquid with slightly high viscosity, phthalic acid may not dissolve and react easily either. The reaction should occur after raising the temperature.
