The wastewater contains paraffin; the COD of the raw water is 3000, ammonia nitrogen levels are 150, and total phosphorus levels range from 3 to 6. The current treatment process involves air flotation + AO + sand filtration. The COD of the treated water is unstable, fluctuating between 100 and 300, while it is required to be at 90. The ammonia nitrogen level in the treated water is 20–30, but it needs to be reduced to 15. What solutions are available? Now, during the renovation, an MBR membrane is planned to be installed, but the concern is that paraffin may cause blockages.
