Only after identifying the cause can the problem be solved. If it is a resin quality issue, then switch to resin from a manufacturer that produces higher-quality products; if it is an operational issue (in which case pressure and flow rates should generally be checked), then optimize the operating procedures. If the hydrochloric acid contains free chlorine, use hydrochloric acid that is free of such chlorine. Additionally, the filter should be cleaned regularly.
Most of the clogging in your filter comes from the filter screen at the bottom of the tower, right? First, check whether it is broken resin or intact resin. For crushed resin, factors such as the acid-base concentration and resin quality during regeneration that can affect the resin’s lifespan need to be taken into consideration. If it’s the entire granular resin that’s affected, it’s necessary to check whether the filter at the bottom of the tower is damaged; only a broken filter would cause resin leakage. It’s advisable to drain the contents from the bottom of the tower and conduct tests for a while before shutting down the tower.

In the case of a catcher, it is necessary to backwash it frequently. It’s normal for the resin to break down; the clogging of the collector is caused by the accumulation of small amounts of broken resin, as well as sediment and similar substances. There’s nothing else to do except to regularly backwash the collector – not the backwashing associated with the regeneration of the resin tower
