This is a set of sulfur balance data for catalytic cracking of hydrotreated distillate oils: Serial Number, Process Stream Name, Production Volume, Sulfur Content %, Sulfur Weight in tons, Percentage of Sulfur in Feedstock %. 1. Feed paraffin oil: 1889, 0.11%, 2.0779 tons, 100.00%. 2. Outlet dry gas: 109.37, 41.29 mg/m3, 0.5487%, 26.41%. Liquefied gas: 613.92, 51.7562 mg/m3, 0.0540%, 2.60%. Gasoline: 701.00, 79.0127 mg/m3, 0.0890%, 4.28%. Diesel: 340.96, 45.0194 mg/m3, 0.6628%, 31.90%. Oil slurry: 0, 0.0000%, 0.00%. Coke: 117.10, 0.2940%, 0.3443%, 16.57%. Sulfur-containing wastewater: 3141, 174 mg/l, 0.3686%, 17.74%. Losses: 6.6, 0.0104%, 0.50%. Generally, the sulfur content in gasoline is between 5-7% of the sulfur content in the feedstock, with lower values ranging from 3-5%.
Initially, when processing high-sulfur crude oil, there was concern that sulfur might end up in the flue gas; however, little sulfur was found in the flue gas – it all ended up in the dry gas and liquid hydrocarbons!
The distribution of petroleum products generally shows a trend of being high at both ends and low in the middle; dry gas and liquefied gas have high sulfur content, as do coke and oil slurry, while intermediate products such as gasoline and diesel have relatively lower sulfur content
