Heat loss is something that must be controlled in every air separation unit we use; excessive heat loss will inevitably increase the energy consumption of the process. Please share how heat loss is controlled in practical work, and what aspects are taken into consideration.

Reply to 2# san_su: It’s necessary to heat the vehicle thoroughly first before driving it in cold weather; proper preparation helps to ensure smooth operation; Ensure proper maintenance within the cryogenic tank to reduce or eliminate leakage points there ; The pearlescent sand should be of good quality, moisture-resistant, and properly sealed with inert gas ; Control the moisture and carbon dioxide content of the air entering the tower ; Control the temperature difference at the hot end.

Control the temperature difference of the plate format, ensure thorough heating, and also prevent leakage from the drain valve. In our air separation unit, due to leaks in the inlet and outlet drain valves of the hyperbaric oxygen pump as well as in the main cooling drain valve, 63,000 units of expansion are required to produce 50,000 units of oxygen.
Before shutting down, transfer as much of the liquid product as possible to the storage tank to lower the level of the main cooling liquid and reduce the amount of liquid that needs to be discharged during shutdown.
When operating the drain valve and some manual valves, do so slowly to avoid applying excessive force, which could cause internal leakage in the valves and result in heat loss
Cold loss is primarily controlled by regulating the temperature in the middle section of the heat exchanger as well as the temperature difference between the hot and cold ends. Leaks in the refrigeration unit also play a role. It is difficult to achieve effective control if only one set of heat exchangers is used, as this relies on the subjectivity of human operation; therefore, it is important to pay close attention to controlling the temperature of the gas entering the tower and to regulate the amount of CO2 that enters it
