The pressure difference before and after the valve is very large; this area is subject to low temperatures and condensation over a long period of time.
It is possible that the valve has been exposed to a corrosive gas environment for an extended period of time, which led to this: lol
Looking at the picture, the surface of the valve is corroded; it seems that no anti-corrosive coating was applied to the outside of the valve. The temperature of the medium transported by the valve isn’t high, so corrosion must be caused by water, oxygen, and other pollutants
One picture doesn’t say much. Could you explain it as poor management and low technical standards?
This should be closely related to the location where the valve is used, its installation site, and the environment in which it is used.
Is this the actuator of a control valve? It seems to be due to poor management and prolonged exposure to a corrosive environment such as acids or alkalis
It seems to be corrosion caused by a sulfuric acid environment; the scaling is likely acid sludge accumulated from acid leaks.
How long has it been in use? Low temperatures and condensation can lead to corrosion when the device is exposed to a humid environment for extended periods.
