Why can only basket filters be used for fuel filters? And banning the use of other types of filters?
Generally, basket filters are used for media with a high amount of solid impurity particles and high viscosity. Does the fuel pipeline you mentioned have such characteristics? I don’t know what kind of fuel it is
You mean fuel oil, right? It has high viscosity
Light diesel – it should be diesel.
Light fuel; it should be diesel, with a density of 860 kg/m3
It doesn’t say that a basket filter must be used for diesel, right?
Then I don’t know why; the projects we work on don’t have such a requirement
For high viscosity and many particles, basket types are preferred, but it’s not strictly prohibited to use other types, right?
This post was last edited by shiwendong on 2017-1-12 at 15:33. For new projects and new pipeline fuel systems, basket filters are used: this is to address the presence of debris in the pipelines and to filter out sediments. Now, basket filters are commonly used in most oil depots
