I have some difficulty understanding the term and meaning of equivalent displacement in safety valves

I understand actual displacement, rated displacement, and all other types of displacement. But at the end of GB12241, an equivalent displacement appears; it’s really unclear what its actual meaning is.

Equivalent displacement refers to certain parameters under actual operating conditions, used to adjust the rated emission coefficient. Since the rated emission coefficient is generally determined using air, water, or saturated steam as the test media, while in actual operating conditions superheated steam may be used, a superheating correction factor must be applied to the emission coefficient to obtain the emission coefficient for those conditions; the resulting value represents the equivalent emission volume.
