Issues regarding the installation of stainless steel pressure gauges on branch pipes of carbon steel pipelines

The main pipe is made of carbon steel; now a stainless steel pressure gauge is to be installed. Carbon steel flanges have already been welded to the pipe, and the stainless steel pipe is welded directly to these flanges, with the stainless steel pressure gauge valve following thereafter. Is such a design allowed?
It’s completely possible; however, when welding different types of steel, care is needed, and a qualified welding procedure qualification is required.
Welding of dissimilar steels should be avoided as much as possible in engineering; it is recommended to use flange joints instead!
It should be possible, but one is carbon steel and the other is stainless steel; special care is needed when welding them
