For the valve at the bottom of the reaction tank, for economic reasons, a two-stage soft-sealed ball valve is currently used. The difference between soft sealing and hard sealing is quite significant; some people say that due to the high viscosity of the polymer after polymerization, soft sealing is not suitable, and they recommend half-ball or V-type ball valves with hard sealing as they are more cost-effective. Others suggest gate valves, but it is said that these types do not provide good sealing and are prone to leakage, plus they are large in size. So what should be chosen? Is a soft-sealed ball valve a viable option? Please, someone knowledgeable, tell me
Since you’re concerned about the price, you have to accept its drawbacks. If cost is not a concern, then a hard-sealed V-ball valve is of course the better choice!
Could we consider a hard-sealed, non-eccentric C valve? What are the pressures before and after the valve, and what is the approximate temperature? I can help you select the appropriate model
