To prevent pipes from rusting and to provide corrosion protection, pipes are generally painted before insulation is applied. At what temperature threshold should high-temperature paint be used?
Epoxy resin paints are generally used at 120°C, phenolic paints at 200°C, and inorganic zinc silicate paints at 400°C. For the specific selection of paints, refer to SH-T 3022-2011, the Standard for Corrosion Prevention Design of Coatings on Petrochemical Equipment and Pipelines
I use heat-resistant paint for insulation pipes at 400 degrees here
