It depends on what standard is used for the flange; flanges made to different standards have varying thicknesses. When sizing it, the length = thickness of the two flanges + thickness of the gasket + thickness of the two flat washers + thickness of 1 spring washer + thickness of the nut + 2~3 thread pitches. If it is a double-headed bolt, the thickness of two nuts must be added
Are both flat washers and 1 spring washer necessary? I remember that at the time I seemed to have only considered flat washers
