Do chemical plants use many large outer diameter series pipes? Why does our hospital rarely do large-diameter series pipeline projects?
A series (large diameter) belongs to British pipe and is an internationally accepted pipe size. B series (small diameter) is a metric pipe, which has been a pipe size series widely used in the domestic chemical industry and other industrial sectors for decades.
If you build a new chemical industry, you will usually use a lot of large-diameter pipes. After the construction, the pipes that are frequently replaced are relatively small-diameter pipes. Most of them are within dn100, and the pipes with dn200 and 300 may be used less. It depends on the situation of each company.
Large diameter ones are generally used for low pressure fluids, such as underground pipe networks, water treatment, ventilation systems, or vent pipes
It depends on the condition of the device. The device itself is not big, and the pipes are not big either.

The A series is mainly to comply with international standards; The B series is now commonly used in China and is easy to buy with various materials!
Generally, the large outer diameter A series is used in the petrochemical (refining) industry, because SH petrochemical standards mostly refer to American standards.; The general chemical industry mostly uses B series, and chemical standards mostly refer to European standards. The two series are respectively for European standard and American standard flanges. Both can be selected and are widely used. For domestic small and medium-sized devices, European standards are mostly used.
Now there are obviously more American Standard series than before, which also reflects that the influence of North American forces is stronger than that of Western Europe.
