What do CSC and CSO mean in practice for the manual valves in PID? CSC means the seal is in place, while CSO means the seal is removed; in practice, this means that the valve on the corresponding pipeline is either fully closed or fully open!
Basically, they usually appear at the manual valves before and after the safety valve as well as on the bypass lines~~~~ In practice, it depends on the specific circumstances. The manual valve behind the backup safety valve can be left fully open and sealed with a seal; keeping the manual valve in front is sufficient~~~~ For the safety valve that is currently in use, both the manual valves before and after it should be left fully open and sealed to prevent any accidental activation. There may be some differences depending on the management practices of each organization; this is meant only as a reference~~~
