So, how should one choose a fitting such as DN50X25, which falls between the two options, and which standard should be referred to? GB14383 applies to socket weld and threaded pipe fittings, while GB12459 applies to butt-welded pipe fittings. Is it necessary to choose BW at the DN50 end and SW at the DN25 end? Please give me some guidance, experts.
I’m not familiar with national standards; are there fittings of the type “DN50 end BW, DN25 end SW”? If it were me, I would choose fittings with BW at both ends.
GB12459 welded pipe fittings, which include welded reducing tees; GB14383 applies to socket-welded and threaded pipe fittings; tees with variable diameters are not mentioned there, but there is an item in which the owner supplied threaded tees with variable diameters.
Select standard pipe fittings; the reducing tee DN50X25 shall comply with GB12459

For DN50X25, either full butt welding or BWXSW can be chosen; both options can be manufactured by the factory
It is also possible to choose full socket welding; there is no need to stick strictly to the standards. The dimensions specified in those standards are the commonly used ones. Each standard includes methods and formulas for designing pipe fittings, and reputable pipe fitting manufacturers can use these formulas to produce pipe fittings that are not common or that do not conform to standard specifications
