Can the fire pump room be located together with the boiler room? See the figure.
This doesn’t cause any conflict, but what’s the point of having a maintenance room between the pump room and the pool?
I agree with the view from the second floor, but since the machines that need maintenance are located in the boiler room and fire water tanks, it just doesn’t seem safe
The fire pump room is classified as Category E, while the boiler room is classified as Category D. There are requirements for safety distances specified in the building codes – how should this be understood?
According to the \"GB50974-2014 Technical Code for Fire Water Supply and Fire Hydrant Systems\", 5.5.12 stipulates that fire pump rooms shall meet the following requirements: 1 The fire resistance rating of a separately built fire pump room shall not be lower than grade II. The fire separation distance from other buildings that pose a risk in case of a fire shall be determined through calculations, but it shall not be less than 15 m. Petrochemical enterprises shall also comply with the relevant provisions of the current standard \"Code for Fire Protection Design of Petrochemical Enterprises\" GB50160; 2 Fire pump rooms located within buildings shall be separated from other areas by partition walls with a fire resistance rating of not less than 2.0 hours and floor slabs with a fire resistance rating of 1.50 hours. Their exit doors shall be located near safety exits, and they shall be equipped with Class A fire doors ; 3 Fire pump rooms located within buildings: when situated on the ground floor, their outlets should lead directly outside ; When located in a basement or other floor, its exit should lead directly to a safety exit. The Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings states that when the higher outer wall of two adjacent factories serves as a fire wall, or when in two adjacent buildings of the same height with fire resistance ratings of Class 1 or 2, either of the adjacent outer walls functions as a fire wall and the fire resistance rating of the roof is not less than 1.00 hour, then there is no requirement regarding fire separation distances; however, this distance should be no less than 4 meters between factories of Class A. It’s possible as long as the appropriate measures are in place
The boiler room is not reasonably located next to the maintenance room.
