Airtight pressure test of pipeline reinforcement plates

Currently, the project requires that the reinforcement plates on the pipes undergo a gas-tightness test. 1. I would like to ask how you handled such tests in the past? 2. What size are the holes usually made in the reinforcement plate? 3. The project specification requires 6mm holes – how can they be connected to the pressure testing air pipeline?
Didn’t you leave a 1/4\" NPT threaded hole? Then it can be connected. You’ve drawn the diagram too, but you don’t know how to do it?
This is the information I found. The question is: Have you never seen threaded fittings as small as 1/4”? It still has external threads; the hole is too small
