Recently, our equipment requires pneumatic control valves for use in a chemical plant. There are options from FISHER and SAMSON, as well as other brands. It’s my first time using such valves, so I’m not sure how to make a choice. FISHER offers two models: one is the NPS 4 GX DVC2000, which is said to be assembled in Tianjin; the other is the NPS 3 ET 667 Size 40i DVC2000. The prices of these two models differ significantly. I’m not sure about the quality of the valves manufactured by FISHER. As for SAMSON’s valves, their price is lower than that of the imported FISHER valves, but the boss still thinks that imported valves are too expensive and wants to find an even cheaper option. So I’m asking experts for some advice
If it’s not for high-temperature and high-pressure applications, domestic products are more than sufficient.
Indeed, if low cost is desired and there are no special operating conditions, domestic control valves are sufficient
FISHER’s quality is outstanding, and the price is great as well. Samson is still one tier below FISHER
Many of the products that are imported these days are actually domestically produced or made under license; in any case, the market is in a chaotic state. It’s recommended to have knowledge of the product itself and then find a suitable domestic manufacturer. You can also choose to import directly, but avoid using agents – instead, go to the official import website. The website will connect you with local agents, so you can be sure that what you get is genuine. Otherwise, you’ll end up with fake domestic products. It’s okay if it’s just a high-quality imitation, but it’s a disaster when it’s of poor quality
For sections with low requirements, those assembled in Tianjin can be used; for ordinary operating conditions, domestic products will suffice, while imported ones should be used for critical sections
Imported for harsh operating conditions, domestic for normal operating conditions
The selection and design must be reasonable; poor selection means that even Fisher valves may not perform well

Fisher has a factory in Tianjin; currently, almost all products in China are produced by that factory in Tianjin, no problem at all
If the operating conditions aren’t too demanding, I think it’s fine to choose domestic alternatives. From what I can see, you seem to prefer branded products; however, you can also opt for domestic manufacturers that have done OEM work for these brands, as their quality is quite good as well
