I need help. I’m looking for information on how to protect chemical processing equipment during maintenance and repair tasks. For example, when replacing valves, it’s necessary to clean and protect the flanges to prevent scratches on their mating surfaces, thus avoiding leaks after installation. The production process is currently stable, but the biggest issue is the safety hazards associated with equipment maintenance and repair. Are there any books that provide detailed information on how to protect flanges from the time they are purchased, through installation, to maintenance, as well as on how to determine their effectiveness? The same problems apply to other types of equipment as well
