I would like to ask whether, when a company uses GC qualifications to design oil fields and pressure pipelines for natural gas stations, it is permissible to refer to those standards commonly used in GA in the design documents
Some provisions in the oil and gas gathering and transportation specifications refer to the content of long-distance pipeline specifications, but the two are distinct. The long-distance pipeline specifications do not take corrosion allowance into account, and the set pressure of safety valves can be higher than the design pressure of the pipeline system; these two aspects are not applicable to oil and gas gathering and transportation.
Thank you. What I actually want to ask is: if there are references to GA specifications in the design documents for GC categories, could this lead to suspicions of out-of-scope design during the qualification review of GC pressure pipelines in the future?
