The section of the thermal pipeline that passes through the wall will be filled with non-flammable materials. So here comes the question. 1. Can a wall serve as a support point for pipes? If possible, a pipe support should also be made. 2. Due to the expansion of thermal pipelines, the pipes shift in their longitudinal direction – could this result in the packing at the pipe openings not being properly filled? I hope those with practical experience can share! Thank you
Generally, when pipes pass through a wall, the wall is not used as a support point
Wall penetrations are generally a bit larger than pipes and require sleeves, so pipe supports are usually not designed. There will be an insulation layer outside the thermal pipeline; once the insulation layer is in place, any gaps can be filled with non-flammable filler. As for the issue of thermal expansion, the portion passing through the wall can be taken into account during stress calculations; by installing fixed supports near the holes in the wall, large displacements caused by expansion can be avoided.
