On DCS, how to determine the status of air-operated open valves and air-operated closed valves
Look at the direction of the arrow between the cylinder and the valve
Our company only uses F/C, F/O, and F/L for labeling on PlD diagrams; the valve’s air intake condition can be determined on-site
What do the hollow and solid parts on the valve represent?
A locator is required; feedback to the DCS allows determination of the valve’s open or closed state
