I would like to ask the experts: are there any regulations requiring that water used for daily use must be supplied through stainless steel pipes? Can zinc-plated pipes not be used?
Many also use galvanized pipes; I’m not sure if that has any impact
Galvanized ones work too, as long as they are clean
Personally, I would advise against using galvanized pipes, as their inner surface is quite rough and dirt tends to accumulate there over time
In practical applications, carbon steel pipes are quite commonly used. In our designs, seamless pipes (ungalvanized) are generally used for underground installations, while galvanized pipes (in the equipment area) or plastic pipes are used above ground. According to the 2009 version of the GB 50015-2003 Code for Design of Building Water Supply and Drainage, galvanized pipes should be suitable for use after proper anti-corrosion treatment
