Help! Could some expert give me some advice? I’m a beginner; the orifice plate flow meter isn’t working properly – is it a problem with the meter itself? At night, the factory is not in operation; all valves are closed, yet the flow meter continues to show readings even when there is no steam flow. Talk to Thermoelectric and tell them their meter is fine!
Orifice plate flowmeters exhibit larger errors below 30% of their range; the lower the value, the greater the error. Due to the square root relationship, even a small output from the transmitter can cause changes in flow rate. Therefore, it is necessary to filter out low-level signals when using orifice plate flowmeters, and the settings should be based on the parameters listed below.
Thank you for your advice. However, the thermal power plant says there is no problem with their meters, and third-party inspections have also confirmed that they are in good condition. The thermal power plant claims that as long as we close the main valve, the issue lies not with the meters, since no flow will occur. I don’t know what to do now!
