Are corrugated flame arrestors relatively advanced nowadays? I have used gravel-type and wire mesh-type flame arresters in the past; according to what I found online, wave-shaped flame arresters are used nowadays. The only model I came across is the ZGB-1 wave-shaped storage tank flame arrester, which is suitable for use in pipelines, as well as for substances such as Class A materials with a flash point below 28°C, oils, hydrogen and oxygen liquefied gases, and kerosene, diesel, toluene, crude oil, etc., whose flash point is below 60°C. Is it appropriate to install this type of flame arrester on the condenser vent pipe, which has a flash point of 37°C? Seeking answers.
Among the petrochemical equipment available in China, the most difficult to determine the reliability of are flame arrestors, as it’s not clear whether they have been tested using actual gases. Even when testing is carried out with actual gases, the testing standards currently in place in China are rather limited and unable to cover protection against all types of gases. I saw some designs abroad in which three or four flame arrestors were installed on the torch main pipe. When I asked why, they said that the gas composition of the torch was complex; a single flame arrestor could only provide protection against one type of gas, which is why three or four were needed. Moreover, each of these flame arrestors costs hundreds of thousands of yuan. In China, there are options ranging from tens of thousands to a few thousand yuan – but will they achieve the desired effect? I guess we’ll only find out when something happens

Are flame arrestors that expensive? It seems that those flame arrestors we used before were nothing but a formality. :L
