If the valve core of a pressure reducing valve is removed, does it still have a throttling function?
As the fluid passes through a pressure-reducing valve without a valve stem, it also has to make two turns in terms of its path. For straight pipes as well, there needs to be a resistance coefficient.
It should not act as a throttle; there is slight throttling at the diameter change point.
