Can the flanges of the Class series be connected to B-series pipes?

Can flanges of the Class series be connected to pipes of the B series? It seems that the outer diameter of the steel pipes equipped with Class series flanges corresponds to that of A series steel pipes
American standard flanges are divided into Series A and B; the pipes differ, but everything else is the same
The outer diameters of the take over pieces are different, making welding difficult
Is there any way to connect them?
Why use it this way? The Class series are originally A-series pipes that meet American standards; why force them to be welded to B-series pipes?
All Class flanges are of Series A, and can only be welded to pipes that meet the national standards of Series 1
The Class series flanges come in A and B series
