I would like to ask the experts here: I have received a purchase order for valves from a foreign project, which requires that several components be combined using the same material. Specifically: the ball/valve disc/valve flap – as one set, with the same material; the valve shaft/stem – as one set, with the same material; the valve seat/sealing surface – as one set, with the same material. Is this choice of material appropriate in general? Or was it just a design flaw?
This approach to material selection is generally appropriate; spheres/valve plates/valve discs usually require the same strength and corrosion resistance. Valve shafts/stems, as moving parts, also need to be made of the same material to ensure consistent performance. Valve seats/sealing surfaces are typically required to have good sealing properties and wear resistance. Of course, whether it is applicable or not still depends on the specific requirements of the project. .
There’s something wrong with this order,,,,,. I’m not sure how to specify the technical details – should everything be clearly stated, including things like whether intellectual property rights are transferred free of charge or not?:P
