The current maximum operating pressure of the oxygen pipeline is 2.2 MPa; an oxygen-specific stop valve with a nominal pressure of 2.5 MPa has been selected. Is this appropriate? Are there any national or industry standards to support this choice? Help needed

That’s not appropriate; a valve grade with a pressure rating 1.5 times the maximum operating pressure should be selected.

It is recommended to use an oxygen stop valve with a PN40 rating. If the diameter is too large, it is necessary to have a bypass feature built into the valve by the manufacturer; if copper is not allowed, then using copper is the best option
It is necessary to refer to the standard to find the temperature and pressure ratings based on the valve material, and include an appropriate safety margin. Visual inspection is not sufficient; PN40 must be selected. Putting aside the temperature and pressure ratings, at least in my opinion, it’s best to leave a safety margin of 15%-25% for the oxygen valve in terms of design.
