The inlets of the liquid ammonia storage tanks at our plant’s ammonia station are equipped with both pneumatic ball valves and manual stop valves; however, after replacement, these valves frequently experience internal leakage. How can this be resolved? ?
Then replace the valve; don’t go for cheap options
Verify the valve selection (material choice) to ensure it meets the requirements
Valves specifically designed for liquid ammonia should be chosen!
Check whether copper inhibition has been applied.
May I ask the original poster: for the ball valves used with liquid ammonia, have you considered pressure relief in the valve chamber?
