In the diagram below, those marked with circles – according to the legend – represent “single/double-acting cylinder actuators”. 1. Is this translation correct? 2. What is its function? 3. Is this question about the instrument? Should I ask about other majors instead?

The instrumentation department is responsible for this aspect, while the piping department is only in charge of installation. Both the technical requirements and selection process are handled by the instrumentation department
It’s just a pneumatic butterfly valve, and it’s equipped with interlock functionality. Look for majors in automatic control or instrumentation!
