For the valves on the ammonia water line, ammonia-specific globe valves or check valves made of babbitt alloy should be used. Are there any special requirements for the filters? Is ordinary 20# sufficient?
For filter valve bodies used in ammonia solutions, cast steel is a suitable material; if you are concerned, it can be replaced with 304 material. The three-way ball valves we provided for coking plants were made of cast steel, with the balls being made of stainless steel.

In other words, filters don’t need sealing surfaces like valves, so there are no special requirements?
Is the use of babbitt sealing surfaces mainly for preventing leaks?
Ordinary carbon steel will do; it mainly depends on your intended use.
When considering filters, the issue of corrosion caused by impurities is a key factor; it is possible to first analyze the types of impurities that may be present, and then select a material resistant to corrosion by such impurities
