Recently, the Deep-Sea High-Pressure Valve Assembly Team at the 704th Research Institute of China State Shipbuilding Corporation successfully completed the trial production of sealing components, marking the first technical breakthrough in the manufacture of such components in China. As one of the core components in the hydraulic control modules for offshore oil extraction, deep-sea high-pressure valve assemblies can control the path and direction of oil flow. In deep-sea high-pressure environments, where operating conditions are complex, high control efficiency is required, and safety standards are extremely strict, the design and manufacturing of deep-sea high-pressure valve assemblies represent a technical challenge that has needed to be addressed for a long time. The deep-sea high-pressure valve assembly independently developed by the 704th Institute can withstand working pressures more than twice the normal level, which significantly enhances the control efficiency of hydraulic control modules used in oceanic mining. Moreover, thanks to its optimized design, its sealing performance has also been greatly improved. Once developed successfully, this deep-sea high-pressure valve assembly can be widely used in deep-sea oil extraction projects at great depths. This technology represents an important achievement by our country in the research and development of hydraulic control module technologies for deep-sea oil extraction. Going forward, Institute 704 will increase its investment in technology in the field of deep seas, boost innovation and research and development, and continuously improve its ability to transform scientific and technological achievements, thereby building greater momentum for high-quality development.
