Are the three-way connectors purchased reliable compared to those made by drilling holes? Do the finished tee joints I bought have fillet welds? Are fillet welds not as reliable as butt welds? What kind of pipes can allow a hole to be dug to form a tee? Would the cost be much lower if a tee is created by drilling holes?
It should meet the requirements of tees as specified in the elbow standards, and a warranty certificate should be provided to ensure reliability; drilling and welding significantly weakens the shell.
If there are issues with the material of the tee purchased, it’s better to use a homemade one, especially one made of stainless steel! The cost of making a custom tee fitting might be higher than that of buying one
