Quartz viewports: Quartz glass is an excellent acid-resistant material. Apart from hydrofluoric acid and phosphoric acid at temperatures above 300°C, acid solutions of any concentration, even up to the boiling point, have very little effect on quartz glass. It can also withstand the attack of neutral substances. Although it does react with alkalis, the reaction rate is relatively slow. Therefore, quartz glass is a good material resistant to chemical erosion.
Haha, the viewports probably don’t have fluorine lining; they should be pipes, otherwise how would you be able to see anything?
