Is the price of steel pipes based on weight?

Steel pipes of the same material can be either welded or seamless. Is it calculated based on the price per ton, according to the weight of the steel pipe? Or are there still technical differences among each manufacturer? Different prices? If that’s the case, does it mean that by finding the real-time price per ton for this type of pipe material, it’s possible to calculate the price of each individual pipe?
For each specification of steel pipe, there is a price per unit length; since the density is known, it is also possible to determine the price based on weight. But by no means are pipes of different diameters, materials, and specifications priced the same or weighted equally; if that were the case, no one would produce pipes with smaller diameters. Pipe materials aren’t yet considered actual pipes; the labor and technical requirements for producing steel pipes in different specifications vary. What are you thinking? Do you think you can buy steel pipes at the price of steel ingots?
The prices for those steel pipes online are given per ton. Can this price be directly applied to the corresponding steel pipe? . Can the price of a single tube be calculated using just the price per kilogram?
If the quantity is small, no one will sell it; it’s not even enough to power it on. Depending on the size, smaller ones have a higher price per ton, while larger ones have a lower price per ton; for ordinary carbon steel, it’s around five to six thousand yuan per ton
Oh, I’m not using it to buy things. I just want to get a general idea of the prices of pipes in the market. Carbon steel, stainless steel, in various sizes. The prices found online are all calculated on a per-ton basis, so I would like to ask whether the price of the pipes is determined directly based on their weight.
