Can raised-face flanges and flat-face flanges be connected?

There is a metal flange with an FF face pre-installed on the pool; a pipe made of PE is to be connected to it later. The flange for PE is a swivel flange with an RF face, and its pressure rating is PN1.0. The medium involved is normal temperature water. Can these two be connected directly? What type of gasket should be used? I would appreciate it if the experts could give me some advice.

If the medium is just ordinary water and the pressure is not high (PN1.0), pay attention to the matching of the gasket material.
If the pressure is also low, use a larger gasket; full coverage of the sealing surface will then be sufficient
