What does it mean that the green pipe before the check valves of the two water pumps is connected together? Does it mean a filling pump? Does anyone know?

Is there a small sight glass on the green pipeline? There is a check valve at the pump outlet; the black element shown in the diagram is likely that one. The connection through the green pipeline is intended to provide a return flow of liquid to the standby pump, thereby preventing crystallization of the material inside the pump. Additionally, by observing the flow of material through the sight glass, it is possible to ensure that the material inside the pump is in motion, thus ensuring the proper operation of the standby pump
