Do metal bellows expansion joints used in pressure pipelines require regular inspection or testing? What standards, regulations, and technical specifications are available for support? Thank you!
As part of the registration for pressure pipelines, expansion joints undergo annual inspections along with those pipelines
No testing is required, but companies need to conduct regular pressure tests internally, keep records of them; standards do require this, but in practice it isn’t done. ;P
