I ran into the problem of the tap water at home not working properly; after analyzing the cause, I was unable to find a solution! I live on the 32nd floor, and the water pressure from the tap is unstable – the flow rate varies from strong to weak. Sometimes there’s air in the pipeline, preventing water from flowing; there’s also air pressure affecting the flow. I use hundreds of cubic meters of water per year, and even installing a check valve doesn’t help. The reason seems to be that the check valve cannot seal completely. Does anyone have any solutions? According to the property management of the residential complex, there are no fire water tanks or intermediate water tanks in the complex; water is drawn directly from the municipal water supply pipes and then pressurized again for use in the upper floors. The capacity of the pressure stabilization pumps is insufficient, which is why the water pressure keeps fluctuating. Dissolved gases from the municipal pipelines also enter the system, and since there are many users in the lower floors, water flows back from the upper floors to the lower floors, bringing in air as well. As a result, air getting into the system is inevitable. Experts, how can we solve the problem of idling of tap water?
Adding a water tank on the roof can solve this problem and ensure a supply of water in case of a sudden outage for several hours, but it’s troublesome in terms of costs, as well as maintenance expenses later on. Anyway, things that are shared among everyone are really complicated to manage uniformly, unless it affects everyone involved
