Is the sealing quality of the large-diameter B-series flanges HG20623 reliable?

For HG20623-2009, there is a significant difference in weight between Series A and Series B of large-diameter flanges at the same pressure rating; I’m not sure why. Is the sealing quality of Series B flanges reliable?
The standard installation seals are reliable. The designs of the two flanges differ: Flange A uses bolts of larger size, resulting in a greater distance between the bolt diameter and the diameter of the gasket seal; Flange B uses bolts of smaller size, giving a smaller distance between these two dimensions. When checked using the calculation methods specified in GB 150, both types meet the requirements. In other words, flanges of NPS26 and above have been using the AB series standards for decades. If the sealing performance of Flange B were unreliable or had limitations, end customers would have raised concerns long ago
It’s definitely reliable; the a and b series have been around for so many years
This sealing effect is determined by factors such as the processing quality of the sealing surface and the quality of the gasket. .
The sizes are different; A is larger and thicker, so it’s heavier, of course. The reliability of the seal has nothing to do with AB; it depends on the fit of the entire sealing pair.
